Cherish the Treasure

Tim and I celebrated our 18th anniversary yesterday.  The past 18 years have been filled with many joys and some sorrows, but through it all I've been blessed to have a wonderful husband who has stuck with me.
I looked up the song "Cherish The Treasure" this afternoon.  It's the song we had played during our candle lighting ceremony.  After the candle was lit, I remember very vividly standing looking at Tim while holding his hands. His eyes were filled with tears, which made me cry too.
Listening to the words "This sacred vow I make to you does not contain an if.  Though I'm aware that trials lie ahead."  I never could imagine the trials we would have to go through, especially about 2 years into our marriage with the loss of our daughter Gabrielle Renee.  We've also had a lot of health challenges and just the normal couple/parenting issues.
I'm so glad God sent me Tim.  He was a specific answer to prayer.  I had cried out to God to send me a man to love.  I was in the loneliest part of my life at the time.  God answered my prayer quickly.  The next afternoon after church, Tim asked me out.  We were married about 5 months later.
We have 3 living children.  My oldest is going to be 17 on Friday.  My middle child will be a teenager in a few months and Anna will be 11.  Time sure does fly!  I am so blessed!!!!

Beautifully written and I almost cried when I listened to the song. You and Tim have gone through many hard trials and are going through one now but you are always there for him and love him with all your heart. You also love the Lord with all your heart also and many prayers have gone out to you and Tim.

As I wrote in my blog I am so thankful to have you as my daughter. You are very special.

Thank you Mom! You and Dad have been great examples of what marriage should be like. You have gone through so many trials yourselves and you have come through them stronger! I'm so blessed to have you as parents. Love you!!!!

  I have been blessed to be able to visit Sperr Park a lot lately. Today it's an extra special blessing. A few months ago I discovered a swinging bench. Today I discovered that it's directly across the lake from the flag pole.  I'm singing the Star Spangled Banner in my head. Goodbye CBCA 4/21/26

 This morning, the pastor of my home church, Central Baptist in Binghamton NY, announced that Central Baptist Christian Academy is closing at the end of this school year.  I started CBCA as a Kindergarten student in 1975. On Sunday, when I saw one of my classmates, who is a pastor in the Cleveland OH area, preaching on Facebook I realized that I have known him for just over fifty years. I loved my nine years at CBCA.  I had amazing teachers and I made the most incredible friends. I loved being involved in music.  I had my first solo in first grade. "Jesus loves the little children the whole wide world around" I sang with laryngitis. I took piano and voice lessons starting in second grade. I sang in choirs. My classmates and I had so much fun! We sang in Christmas and spring programs.  We went on many fun field trips. Senior Citizen Day

 It's official!  I'm now a senior citizen.  I made my appearance in the world at 7 PM on January 11, 1970.  Now I am eligble for senior discounts.  Tim told me that includes Michaels. That will come in handy.  On Facebook, I've received greetings from people from all times of my life.  That's been fun to see. It's brought back so many fun memories.  Some from my schools, my churches, and extended family.   I've been such a blessed woman, that is for sure.  I still have my parents who still support me and show they love me.  I've been blessed with many friends and I continue to make more.
