Radio Fun
My week of nostagia continues. I was listening to my lifetime favorite Christian radio station http://www.wpel.org/ this morning when "RANGER BILL!!!! WARRIOR OF THE WOODLANDS!!!!!" blared from speakers. I loved that show, Ranger Bill. Children's Bible Hour was my absolute favorite . I got to see "Uncle Charlie and the CBH cousins" when they came to what is now known as Davis College in Johnson City. I used to write CBH every week after the show for quite a while. WPEL still runs Ranger Bill. Children's Bible Hour as I knew it is off the air. It was replaced with "Down Gilliad Lane" a drama. Uncle Charlie though can still be heard on the devotional show "Keys for Kids" http://www.cbhministries.org/ I'm listening to WPEL right now. Many of the announcers are the same when I was listening to it as a child. LaVerne Sollick and Patty and Larry Souder, are just a few names I listened to growing up.
